A rare deluxe copy on Japon nacré paper, from the strictly limited edition of 44 examples (numbered VII–L), this being copy No. XXIX.
The complete portfolio comprising twelve original etchings by Salvador Dalí, each signed in pencil, executed with pochoir (stencil) colouring and gold dust embellishment, printed on Japon nacré paper. The plates are issued hors-texte, with full margins, as published.
Published by Léon Amiel (New York / Paris) in 1971, the suite forms one of Dalí’s most refined late graphic cycles, inspired by the biblical Song of Songs, combining delicate linear etching with rich hand-applied colour and metallic accents.
The portfolio is preserved complete, including the title page and justification, and housed in the original blue cloth-covered boards and slipcase, featuring the characteristic metal medallion mounted on the upper cover.

Condition:
In very good overall condition, the sheets with full margins, minor handling and light natural toning consistent with age; portfolio and slipcase with light wear, otherwise well preserved.
Note:
The Japon nacré issue represents the true deluxe state of the edition, distinguished by its significantly smaller limitation and superior paper, and is considerably rarer than the standard Arches issue.
