paper. Presented with a cover and slipcase lined with cloth. Texts are in their original
language (Catalan, Spanish, English and French).
Joan Prats was a staunch champion of art. On his passing, he left
a great void that his friends—artists, writers and lovers of art in
general—tried to fill. Among their various initiatives was the
production of this book, which brings together writings by
great figures of art and literature, including J.V. Foix, J. Dupin,
A. Cirici, Luis Buñuel, J. Teixidor, John Cage, J.L. Sert, Stockhausen,
J.J. Sweeney, M. Tapié, R. Penrose and P. Waldberg, and
reproductions of a series of works by noted creators in the
sphere of the plastic arts, such as Miró, Calder, Chillida, Tàpies,
Guinovart, Ràfols-Casamada, Brassaï, Llorens Artigas, Vedova,
Brossa, Català-Roca, Villèlia, Viladecans and more. This volume,
which is itself of extraordinary importance as a work of art and
literature and as a document, contributes to perpetuate the
memory of Prats, an enthusiastic follower of the Avant-garde.
